Downstream scope: Parliament vote scheduled, no final law yet

Commission proposal: 180 downstream products. Council general approach: 200 additional metal-intensive goods. ENVI report: 457 products. Parliament is scheduled to vote on 15 September 2026; as of this build, the Parliament position has not yet been adopted in plenary and trilogue has not produced final legislation.

Information System rules simplified ahead of application

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1565 amended the EUDR Information System rules, including due-diligence statement submission and simplified statements for certain micro or small primary operators. Documentary implication: reference numbers, corrections and supply-chain handoffs need disciplined record keeping.

Digital Product Passport Registry launched

The Commission launched the DPP Registry and testing environment following Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1778. Harmonised DPP standards were published through Implementing Decision (EU) 2026/1736. Documentary implication: unique identifiers, source provenance, versioning, storage and persistence become practical implementation questions.
